Hi Gene,
Congratulations on this wonderful tribute
and 50 years dedicated to teaching!
You
may not realize how you were a part of "molding characters", but you certainly
were a contributing factor in helping me overcome my shyness. The
self-confidence and perseverance that you instilled in me carries on to this
very
day.
And my love and appreciation of music is greater today than it ever was,
thanks to you.
I am very proud to say that I was a member of the Gene Van Symphony--we
played some great music and sounded fantastic! Those were some of the best
memories of my life!
So I am grateful
to you and to my parents for giving me the opportunity to learn to play the
accordion and becoming a better person because of it.
Many good wishes and good health to you always.
Fondly,
Debbie ('K') Heeter
