Gene Van Accordion Conservatory Of Music
South Bend (Mishawaka) Indiana
50's - International Friendship Gardens in Michigan City,
IN;
60's - Soldier's Field in Chicago, State Accordion Championships in
Indianapolis, our first National Championship in New York City
in 1968, World Cup Invitational performance at Hunter College,
New York City, and guest performance at Marquette University, WI
in 1969;
70's - Chicago, Washington, D.C., Detroit, Pittsburgh,
'74 U.S. Ensemble Champions, the greatest US Champion Showband '78
in New York City, and the "Clean House Gang" champions in Miami
Beach, FL in 1979. Multiple winner of the Indiana Accordionist's
Association Championship Accordion Symphony.
80's-Nashville, World Cup performance in Kansas City
1981, virtuoso ensemble U.S. Championship in Orlando, FL 1982,
our invitational performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City
in 1983, Harrisburg, the "Cabaret Party" in Boston 1984,
featured performer for the Carnival of the Arts at Century
Center in 1985, and our 30th year "Reunion of Champions" in
South Bend, 1988;
90's - formation of "Those Van-Tastic Accordions" in
1995, our 40th year "Everything's Coming Up Accordions" concert
in South Bend in 1998...
'05 - 2005 ATG U.S. Adult Accordion Ensemble Champions
'08 - "One Voice" 50th
Anniversary & Reunion Concert South Bend IN.
'09 - An impressive return to the accordion world by the
Gene Van Accordion Orchestra, Dallas TX at the National
Accordion Association.
